Inside the lab
Icon lab is here to provide you with quality icons you can use for both personal and commercial projects. Each icon is an original design made with its own unique look and feel. Everything you see on this site comes from scratch out of our brilliant yet geeky minds and is offered to you at a reasonable and competitive price.

We will even be posting icons free to download on a random basis, so check back often. There ain’t nothing cheaper than free!

And remember — if you like our style but don’t see anything that quite fits what you’re looking for, you can request customized icons. We’d love to work with you!


About Adam
Icon Lab is owned and operated by Adam Shiver of Orlando, FL. Adam is a self-taught designer with over 10 years of professional experience. He has created a variety of award-winning media during his career including website design, newspaper graphics and layout, icons, online graphics and other print projects.

Adam is a native Floridian, but avoids the sun at all costs and loathes the eternal summer it brings. If you really want to bribe him, you will present him with a case of Mountain Dew in glass bottles or something Apple.

Adam also owns and operates elixir, a graphics company that develops RapidWeaver themes and delivers personalized graphics on a by-request basis. Elixir has been recognized on a number of sites highlighting its quality CSS composition and excellent visual appeal.
How do we do it?

All of our icons are developed using the latest software from Adobe: Illustrator CS3 and Photoshop CS3. We are constantly teaching ourselves new tricks to make sure that every item leaving our desktop to be uploaded here is of the highest quality and at the head of the freshest styles. All of our work is done on Apple Macintosh based computers.

Icon Lab License Agreement
This is a legal agreement between you, the purchaser, and TheIconLab.com, hereafter referred to as “Icon Lab.” By purchasing any icons or other materials from Icon Lab, you automatically agree to the following terms and conditions:

All icons or other materials purchased from Icon Lab always remain the property of Icon Lab. You, the purchaser, are buying the right to use the icons according to this license agreement. Ownership and copyright remain with Icon Lab.

You, the purchaser, have the right to use our icons or other materials as follows:
• All of our icons or other materials can be used for personal or commercial projects including electronic publications, web design, printed materials, advertising, film, broadcast, theatrical exhibitions and computer and mobile games. Any additional uses must be approved by Icon Lab in writing.
• Our icons may be altered, cropped or otherwise modified or manipulated for your needs.

All purchasers must also abide by the following restrictions:
• Neither our icons nor the rights to our icons may be sub-licensed, resold, transferred, assigned or otherwise conveyed to third parties. Our icons also may not be used in any electronic template intended to be reproduced by third parties.
• Making modifications or alterations to any of our icons or other materials does not free you to then sell, license or distribute them to anyone else.
• Our icons may not be incorporated into a logo or other trademark without written permission of Icon Lab.
• You may not post any of our icons online in a downloadable format or enable it to be distributed in any other way.

The license contained in this agreement will automatically terminate without notice from Icon Lab if you fail to comply with any of the provisions of this agreement or fail to pay in full. Upon termination, you must immediately stop using our icons, delete or remove all material containing our icons from your premises and confirm completion of this to Icon Lab in writing.

Icon Lab is not liable for any damages arising out of any defects in our materials. You agree to hold Icon Lab harmless from all damages, liabilities and expenses arising as a result of claims by third parties relating to your use of any material you have purchased from us outside the scope of this agreement.
